A new law means that every employer must automatically enrol workers into a workplace pension scheme if they meet certain criteria

Currently these critera are set as follows - but they may change:

  • are aged between 22 and State Pension age
  • earn more than £10,000 a year
  • work in the UK

This is called ‘automatic enrolment’. If your business has been notified that it has its staging date coming-up in the next 12 to 18 months then it's very important to have an action plan - and a qualifying pension scheme - in place.
