Update on Gender Pay Gap reporting

From 6 April 2017 employers in Great Britain with more than 250 staff are required by law to publish statutory calculations every year showing how large the pay gap is between their male and female employees.

Employers will have to publish the following four types of figures annually on their own website and on a government website:

  • Gender pay gap (mean and median averages)
  • Gender bonus gap (mean and median averages)
  • Proportion of men and women receiving bonuses
  • Proportion of men and women in each quartile of the organisation’s pay structure

The good news is that the data required is already being collated if you are using either Carval's Uniwage payroll software or payroll bureau service and standard Gender Pay Gap reports will be available within the October 2017 upgrade. This should leave plenty of time to publish the required information before the deadline (March 30th 2018 for public bodies subject to the Specific Duties Regulations, and April 4th for other employers). Read more >>

If you do not currently use Carval for payroll and would be interested in exploring options then please contact your Account Manager for a chat.
