Unity Online is designed for use with one or more of the three core modules from the Carval HR Unity software range (HR Software, Payroll Software or Time and Attendance Software).

Improve employee engagement

Unity Online is the perfect solution for keeping in touch with your employees. When logging on employees are presented with a simple to read dashboard. This easy-to-use and navigate feature helps them keep on top of all their HR-related activity by highlighting outstanding tasks and events. Unity Online is also the ideal forum for communicating with employees by sending messages and questionnaires and providing access to policy documents, telephone directories and in the case of managers, strategic reporting capabilities.

Keep employee details up to date

Employee details such as name, address, bank account and next of kin can all be managed and changed on line, either by employees or managers, reducing administration and ensuring accuracy.

Employee requests and manager authorisation

Implementing Employee Self Service enables you to devolve responsibility for everyday HR tasks, such as holiday booking and expense claims, to the front line. This frees –up valuable HR time and ensures a prompt and efficient service to employees. Links with your email system ensures that managers will know about changes or requests made in Unity Online as soon as they are made and employees know as soon as their requests have been authorised or declined.

Absence Management

Responsibility for entering absences can be delegated to Line Managers if desired greatly reducing the administrative burden on HR. An absence map facilities for individuals and teams allows employees to look at what holidays and other types of absence have been booked and taken.

Performance management

Carval’s HR Software will help ensure managers complete appraisals and performance reviews on time, with the option to record results using Unity Online Employee Self Service. Both ratings and objectives-based schemes are catered for, as are capability and conduct reviews.

Training Requests & Post-Course Evaluation

Training requests and training course evaluation can be entered via Unity Online and once authorised will be written to the training database. CPD is catered for. Post-course evaluation questionnaires can also be completed online.

Starter & leaver processes

Unity Online offers the option of managing starter and leaver processes online. This solution is popular with retail operations or other organisations with national infrastructure and shared HR services.

E-Recruitment

Candidates can view and apply for jobs online and their data will feed into the recruitment module in Carval’s Unistaff HR Software saving you considerable data entry time. Anyone involved in the recruitment process for a particular role can then view the candidate data along with supporting documents such as CVs and manage the shortlist online.

Timesheets and workforce management

Employees can clock on using self-service which is particularly useful for environments such as call centres. Carval offers a range of flexible solutions to simplify workforce management across your business. These include timesheets, cost and project management, automated employee rostering and scheduling.

Viewing Payslips, P60 & P11D information

Payslip history, P11D and P60 information can be viewed and printed online.

Flexible benefits selection

Carval HR Unity includes a standard interface to Thomsons and Working Wealth, the UK’s leading flexible benefits providers, where employees can choose from an interactive menu of flexible benefits. This links neatly with Carval’s integrated expenses and benefits module, available as standard with our Payroll Software and HR Software.

Accident reporting and risk assessments

Because Unity Online is web-based and accessible from anywhere, it ensures that employees can report on accidents swiftly and keep up to date with any risk assessments relevant to their job, wherever they are working.
