



Unitend holds comprehensive employee records which can be maintained by supervisors. This includes personal details, company and post information, the skills the employee possesses, details of individual shift patterns and links to documents and photographs. Creating a new employee is simple with Unitend’s New Employee Wizard and employees with multiple posts are catered for.
Unitend Time and Attendance records personal information for each employee including name, address, contact details, next of kin, equal opportunities data, DOB and NI number.
Unitend gives a complete picture of how an employee fits into your organisation, the company that they work for, their post, their activity, location, department, cost centre, team, grade, who manages and/or supervisors them. Wizards are included to help you make changes to these at any time and ensure data continuity.
Links are used to attach images and documents relating to the individual to their employee record. An obvious example is where Unitend is being used to produce ID badges for employees and a picture is required
Carval understands that every company and indeed every employee is different and the flexibility in Unitend reflects this. Therefore in addition to shift information for each employee you can maintain details of flexitime and annual hours contracts, if and where they should clock-in, whether clock-ins are to be interpreted for pay purposes or for safety-only, overtime entitlement and authorisation procedures, Working Time Directive information and much more.
Absence Management is standard across the Carval HR Unity range, including Unitend Time and Attendance Software, with a host of tools to help you manage and control every type of absence. Users can view and amend the holiday and absence details for employees. Holiday is shown in days or hours & minutes depending on the holiday scheme. A summary of the employee’s sickness record is shown. It will show the number of days sick in the current year, holiday year or rolling year, along with a percentage of the total working days in that period. Also shown are the sickness figures since the employee started with the company, again split into actual sick days and a percentage of the total days worked since the employee joined.
The Skills function in Unitend Time and Attendance Software allows the user to set up a list of criteria by which performance is going to be measured within the company. It is not intended to be used solely to record whether a person possesses a skill in a certain area, but also to attach a grading to the skill. As well as recording an employee’s competencies, it can also be used to find an employee who has a certain skill when the need arises, for example a first aider or to identify training needs.
