Uniwage Payroll Software is a sophisticated multi-company system. Each company can have different departments, locations and cost centres. However Uniwage can also handle differing holiday and absence schemes, pay grades, currencies, working patterns and much more.

Holiday and absence management

As you would of course expect, Uniwage carries Statutory Sick, Paternity, Maternity and Adoption pay systems and can handle numerous Company Sickness and Maternity Schemes.

However, it’s our mission to go way beyond what you would expect from your Payroll Software. With this in mind, Uniwage offers a comprehensive Absence Management Module, which is available with all Carval HR Unity solutions. If you have zero hours contracted employees, rest assured Uniwage can handle them and the way their holiday pay is accrued.

Expenses and benefits

Carval’s Uniwage Payroll Software includes an integrated P11D module. It gives you the flexibility to allow employees to benefit from multiple salary sacrifice schemes at any one time and enables a gross pay scheme for pension contributions made through salary sacrifice automatically calculating the NI saving and allowing you to choose whether this should be paid into the employee’s pension scheme.

Carval HR Unity includes an interface to Thomsons Online Benefits and Working Wealth, the UK’s leading flexible benefits providers, as standard.

Workplace pensions

Uniwage includes the tools you need to meet your Workplace Pension Reform and auto-enrolment responsibilities. The system will help automate the monitoring and management of eligibility, postponement, opting out and 3 year reminders in line with current and future legislation. Uniwage caters for multiple pension schemes for each employee including Occupational Final Salary, Stakeholder Schemes, Personal Schemes, Group Personal Pensions and Local Government Pension Schemes. Meanwhile, for civil service pension administration, an interface to Penserver comes as standard.

Expense and mileage claims

Process employee expense and mileage claims, either through direct entry or automatically where Self Service is used.

Spinal column points and grades

Spinal Column Points (SCP) and grade systems are catered for in Uniwage.

Flexible payment and payslip options

Uniwage supports payment by BACS, Autopay, credit transfer, cheque and cash. Payslips can be easily designed to suit your requirements. Password-protected free-format e- payslips can be automatically distributed to employees via e-mail, ending the need to create and deliver paper payslips. Payslips, P60s and P11Ds are also available via Self Service. Carval also supplies payslips, printers and sealing machines.

Powerful reporting and enquiries

Uniwage maintains a complete audit trail of all data entry for later analysis and provides an exhaustive suite of standard reports, including Input Audit Report, Credit Transfers, Working Hours Report and P60, P35 and P32 production, among many others. Full absence reporting including Bradford factor analysis is standard. A comprehensive custom report writer is also included.
